Erm, to cut a long story a bit shorter. I've got a disco 300tdi that I only normally use for laneing and if the weather gets bad.
I've just sold my car that I use the rest of the time because I wanted something flash that had space for the dog (a4 estate, v70 etc) but I can't help but consider getting a 90 as I've always fancied one.
I'm a bit stuck really though, yes I can afford it but why when I've already got a landy. on the other hand, a 90 would suit my lifestyle better than an estate. The main thing putting me off is the price, I'm looking at spending around 2.5 - 3k on a car - which'll get me a 90 about 5yrs older than my disco (so 1993-4ish) from what I've seen at least  my head hurts!
On top of this though, the 90s do seem to hold their value very well so I could always go for it and have a think about whether I've done the right thing or not - if not I've probably lost next to nothing and can still go for the estate instead. Obviously though, the landrover will get through more fuel than a diesel estate so will be more expensive to use daily.
Would I be right in thinking parts are about the same price as for the disco and what would you do in my shoes?
