Hi there
I know this has been done to death but
Can anybody help,my disco has been unused for 3 months now due to imobilisor problem.ive had vehicle electric ions look at it with no joy, apparently there diagnostic equipment can't get into bcu and read the info.but does look like a bcu problem.and I haven't got key codes either.
My question is...if I buy a second hand bcu. With a key already programmed to it,would this work on my disco if it was put straight in? Or would this also have to be programmed to car?
Failing this does any body know of any good vehicle electric ions which are mobile and have the right diagnostic equipment for disc td5 1999 ,I live in basingstoke...I know it's bit long winded.
Cheers for listening.

cant help diagnose the problem but...

I have a module/key/what ever else from a running/starting 99 td5. :)

If your intrested best to PM me :)

I'd start by describing your symptoms, and what happens.

It's pretty hard to help figure out what's going on without a more detailed description

Buying a bcu and key wouldn't be enough, you need to program the ecu and clocks to it too. If you can find someone local with nanocom it's fairly straightforward.
