Hi there, the first thing to do would be to check the current oil level in the gearbox. To do this you need to start with a cold engine:

1. Start the motor, engage all gearbox position in turn and allow each one to settle for a couple of seconds before moving on;

2. Put the transfer box in Neutral and the autobox in Park;

3. Get underneath the vehicle, find the autobox fill/level plug (on front side of autobox) and undo with a Torx bit, the size is 50 from memory;

4. With the plug removed there should be a very small flow of oil coming from the hole. If there is none, top up with Dexron III until there is a flow.

5. Replace the fill plug and you're done.

Good luck

Dave
