sorry if this question should be in the freelander section as I realise a disco sport isn’t the same as a proper disco but I’m looking at getting a 2016 disco sport especially now I’ve realised an update brought in android auto.
My question is what infotainment option do I need to make sure the car has ?

Is it the touch pro unit (rather than just the touch) then I can put in the 18c update to add android auto or is it more complicated than that ?

Cheers

There is a clue in the model name DISCOVERY SPORT, if it were a bloody Gaylander it would have been labelled as such and the first vehicle off the production line would have been pink

Not complicated at all, connect via bluetooth and job jobbed.

Now can I get a wash and a blow dry with a short back and sides and some back to black to fade out the grey.

Ta very much.

Cheers but that’s not android auto that’s just Bluetooth connection.

Can you even get the touch pro unit on a 2016 ?

Android Auto needs InControl Touch Pro which came in at 2017MY.

And then at least software version 18C and the required hardware for USB connection (base car needs InControl apps which was an option I believe) and then Smartphone Pack enabling

If driving a disco sport be very carfeul trying the land rover wave on any defender drivers as theres a real good chance they will turn anround and hunt you down, possibly even giving your rear end a bashing, of course if thats what you want!
