well ive got a 300tdi disco and i want to change the rear prop for a 200tdi 1.i no i need to that change the diff flange to do that but just wonderd if you could do it with a range rover prop aswell.

i've got a rrc rear prop on my 300tdi came off a g reg rrc. fits without any problems. just remeber when ordering uj's to order 200 uj's for the rear as there is a size difference between 200/300

can you buy the pinions brand new from any where.the breakers i keep asking wont sell me just the pinion i have to buy the diff aswell

Scrappies will only sell the whole pinion carrier as its useless in bits to them.

You cagey new pinion and crown wheels for about £180 IIRC. Surely if your pinion is knackered then the crown wheel wants replacing anyway.....

would have thought so. try ashcroft transmissions. i had a dead front diff so took it off that. there is a spacer that sits behind the pinion aswell on the four bolt pinion you will need that
