Hi got a disco 5 dr and want to fit 35's to it.
What do ineed to give me the space etc, im running 2" lift springs at the moment .
Was thinking 2" body lift and 4" shocks to go with the springs, will this be enough??
cheers

tony

any pics of disco 5dr with 35's on would be great

Thats going to cost some dosh to get right, hughesy is right - get yer angle grinder out.
I had 265/75 16s on my last Disco and that was with a 3 - 4 inch lift. I ended up cutting the arches out and fitting extended arches to it.
On a 5 door you will end up cutting into the second skin of the rear doors.
Maybe the body lift is a good idea in your case, it might mean less cutting up of the body.

My cousin runs 35/12.5R15s on his bobtail, he has had to cut the arches right back til they are flush with the inner arch, 2" suspention lift and a 2" body lift the later i did for him, not a badjob to do but its all in the details, we used ally stock bar to make the spacers which looks fantastic!

have you done a body lift before???

Not done a body lift no but will be getting a kit and doing it myself, read up on it and its not to bad a job to do although am tempted to get serious angle iron and weld it all together lol

the lift its self is easy, getting it all too work after is the hard part lol, i wish i had taken photos of the job but i was on a deadline, it needed to be done ready for the next days offroading, as it happens it never got finnished til the following day after we got back

ok, I know who to PM in future if I decide to go for a body lift, cheers.

yeah no probs, its not too bad of a job too be honnest, i started it, with very little prep work, all i had were the bolts and the spacers, in reality i needed an extended steering linkage, extended brake hoses, and a linger battery earth lead (from the chassis to the body to the battery)
