Help please.

Any ideas why my disco keeps stopping, Difficult to start, then once going it will go onto only 4 then 3 cylinders before stopping completely. Will not restart for 5 mins. Once going again will run normally before doing same again. New fuel pump fitted, new engine loom, new glow plugs, new oil cooler. No engine codes and main dealer just costing me thousands.

Why are we paying taxes for you to lounge about down the Reeperbahn drinking and whoring? :eek:

Why have they changed the loom etc and generally ignored the fuel delivery system?
 
loom was contaminated with oil all the way back to ecu. injectors not leaking. saw them check them. fuel pressure 4 bar until engine goes mad and stops. no fuel leaks anywhere, no diesel smell?
 
Thoroughly check the wiring loom around the engine, especially where it passes over the air con pump and to the left of the fan underneath the acoustic cover (looking into the engine bay from the front). The looms have a habbit of rubbing and wearing through in these areas causing all sorts of problems with the running of them.
I know some one who had very similar symptoms to you, it had been back to the garage many times. When he removed the accoustic cover all looked well but on closer inspection the loom had worn on the head, and was shorting out. Couldnt be seen untill the loom was actually twisted round a bit.
