Hi all just a quick question i was wondering if anyone has had a disco with mod style tyres as mine are worn to hell and need replacing and i can pick up a set of mod tyres for £30 just wonderd how the disco was with them fitted.

Mod as in army? If so are you on about the old cross ply type tyre you used to see on series?

Depends on size. If thier 750x16 their close as to 235/85/16. Which will gear it down alot. They'd be noisier and twitchy in the wet,but most mud tyres can be and are anyway. They are awesome off road:)

They are 750x16 its both on and off road i didnt want to get them and they make it look dog ****e so to speak.

If their for weekend offroading or a farm hack they'd be fine. If its your daily drive I'd give them a miss.

Its a 50/50 thing money is tight and my front tyres are totaly gone so i need to replace them asap.

In that case for the money they'll be spot on as they don't wear quick. Just take it steady on yout first drive as it will feel different:)

One day for sure. I try to do them a couple of times a year. I always end up braking something:)

Sounds like deestone extra traction. **** tires on road really noisy and wear strangly. Awesome in mud. Like a paddle steamer. Low range 2nd on tickover and youll just crawl through the mud.

I just fitted 750-16 Deestones to my Disco today.

Forget engine noise, I have a V8 and can't hear it over the road noise, god there noisy really noisy.

Arch will need trimming, and handling going from 235-70-16 AT's to them gave me a shock it really feels strange very woolly but proved great when I got to the green lanes.
