:( Hi all, can anyone help. My disco td5 was listing to one side and some times was done on bumpstops in the morning. I have brought to new air bags and was preparing to fit this weekend, however just come home tonight and while i was driving the car went down to its bump stops. I turned engine off ,then went to restart later that night and its still on its arse and compressor is not running have checked fuse and removed and replaced relay in engine bay. Does it sound like i have blow the compressor or can i carry out a check on the vehicle. Would be grateful for any help . Regards Mark

Does it raise itself when you operate the dash switch? Make sure all doors are closed first) - if it does then the compressor is okay. I would still change the bags if you have them as this sounds like the most likely cause, however, it is possible that the compressor has been overworked trying to maintain pressure when the engine has been operating

Hi,

Sounds just like mine; the intermittent fault and then not rising. 2 new air springs cured the problem and yes my compresor was silent during this time though notice a remarkable differnce with the new springs. :)

sound to me like the compresssor has been working over time to keep the bags up and now it burned its self out!!
if i was you i would take the air bags back and get a coil spring conversion kit, its a really easy job to do but will need to be pluged on diagnostic after, to tell ecu it now on springs.

hi all , well tonight i took off comprssor and hot wired motor and motor would not turn so i clonked it with soft mallet and bingo jumped into life. i've just put back on car and all is well. I pressed button on dash it pumped up further and i sprayed soap solution all over connections and air springs and no leaks evident with compressor turning off at height. Just need to sort slight list to near side, but i think this is a ride height issue as it is low with or without engine running. Do i really have to adjust at land Rover dealer or can i buy somthing (other than testbook) to re calibrate myself ? Regards Mark
