Hi all, new to the forum, i have a 1995 Discovery 300 Tdi which has a problem with the brakes which i strongly suspect is caused by warped discs, there is a pulsing sensation through the brake pedal even under light braking, the severity varies depending on actual speed, there is also some juddering through the steering wheel, would this definately be the discs or is there anything else which may be the problem?, the front discs appear to have little or no wear to them so i don't think they are all that old.
cheers in advance.

Could also be wheel bearings. Does the pedal ever sink lower when you first press it, then not as far the next time?

Not being very good on the spanners myself i think i'm going to have to put it into a local garage to do the work, it's not a LR dealer but is a specialist 4x4 garage, do you know what sort of time in hours to fit and thus what sort of bill to expect if it is a case of new discs/pads or wheel bearings?

where in the country are you mate someone may be able to help you do them for a few beer tokens. certainly alot cheaper than a garage

Much appreciated, sounds like i'll still have to get a garage to sort it as i simply don't have the confidence to attempt it myself.

God I love forums..

Have this exact same problem.. was fine before I let it sit up for two weeks in the cold but since I took it out today its started doing this. Will check out the discs in the morning :)
