Something to potentialy be aware of is, Land Rovers own used car warranty/extended warranty does not cover the crankshafts as its is a known fault that land rover says is not a fault!
The warranty is provided by a third party.

Always worth checking the above info is still current?
I`m wondering /no paranoid, is this still the case if mine breaks they will not cover it?
I have a 2020 D5 sd6 ,3.0 v6 , had all the dealer services done which are on line , i just had the last one done ,it`s done 38k miles now.
I took over the paid up the L R extended warranty from the previous owner and have just renewed it so as to keep it running.

Is it worth the payments if it does go bang, i read so many negative comments on F B owners, i`m scared to start it up in the morning!

you will have to ask them and see what the current situation is.

For an interesting viewpoint into the inherent design weakness of these engines follow this link.

Well, that was interesting!, seems i will have to drive like a granny now to prolong the engine.
Change the oil at 6 months not yearly.
Could not quite understand when he was saying 10 30 dumbass oil, does he mean use 20/50 or 0/30.
The main dealer service used some thing called Shell bulk oil , what ever that is !
