Evening,

I bought a second hand D4 on monday, 107000 on the clock 2010 version

This morning the car fails to start and the battery is flat, i charge the car battery and eventually get the car started which purrs (no obvious odd sounds) but whilst driving this afternoon i get an amber suspension warning on the dash and when i pull on the drive the car drops to the ground (it is now sitting on its haunches), i have checked the battery which is low again and started the car but i keep getting a suspension fault error message.

I am ringing the dealer tomorrow but in the meantime is this a common fault? - i have a D2 so am familiar with some of the quirks but not the D4...

Any ideas please?

You cant do anything diagnostic wise on them unless you have a code reader.
Icarsoft are the cheapest and can read all the systems
IID are excellent and can programme/adjust etc, but are 4 times the price of the Icarsoft.

Have you checked the alternator is charging?
Yes - the alternator appears to be powering under load - the dealer provided me with a new battery which i have swapped over - the car starts much better but the suspension fault is still there and the car sits on the floor. (hmmmm)
