Two schhols of thought at the moment. First one is sell the C Max which I should get about 4K for and buy a TD5 ES for about the same - maybe 1K more. Secondly, I could sell the C Max and buy a 300TDi ES on a 1998 for about £2K and keep the change. 300 TDi tried and tested. I have even changed a head gasket and P gasket and know my way around - plus you can run em on veggie oil. The only thing I can't do for reasons of not having the gear or expertise - is welding - so need a clean example with no rust.

I'm thinking there may be bargains in January
 
prob will mate, plenty of good late 300's around, look around and atleast if you get a good example you can sort it out with waxoil etc, we need to do that with ours we've had it 20 months
