I know there is a lot of info for this, but one comment i have seen is to hammer the sensors in!!
is there a method to this to make sure they are in the correct position or do the fittings determin the correct position and you just tap them until they stop moving.
hope this makes sence

just did mine, gave it all a good clean before i removed the sensor gave the sensor a clean and then tapped it back in place. cleared fault codes and its working fine.

thanks for the reply... how easy is it to remove the sensor?
and when tapping the sensor back in how do you know when its in correctly?
is it just a matter of tapping until it stops?
do i need to have someone clear the fault with a computer?
sorry im not a mechanic and i am a little unsure...

front ones lever out carefully. dont pull the cable!
tap in gently with a blunt object, dont hit the cable!
it stops when it contacts the pick up ring.

not done a rear yet.

you dont need a computer, but there are threads on here on how to diy.
and they do work.
