hi new to disco's could anyone please explain what the use the diff for.

It's used for keeping the wheels apart.

stops wheels from spinning on mud/loose surface, basicly keeps all wheels turning,

dont use on tarmac, will blow diff

Keep in hi range no diff. So little stick towards big stick and towards the driver. Thats what you use unless you is off road, even then yer disco might keep going. If you then get stuck. Stick forward towards dash and still over on drivers side.

The dark side of diffage is for really sticky slippery stuff. Not used mine yet even on sticky slippery stuff... backed out if to sticky/slippery and theres enough room!!

The idea is to use the diff lock before you get stuck.

thanks for replies people also my fog lights aint working fuses ok and the bulbs but switch on dash doesnt light up so orderd new one anyone no if thats the likely cause?
