something strange happened today, when i was about 20 miles from home the right hand corners started to drag me in to them.
anyway i slowly made my way home and noticed when i got back there was oil dripping from the ball joint.. please can someone tell what has happened has something snapped?:(

Sounds like a swivel housing bush has failed, I think they are taper rollers top and bottom on the disco.

You can buy a full kit from paddocks i think its about 50 quid that is all the gaskets plus bearings and seals i done 1 the other week took about 1 day due to tight bolts

dont get the kit as it has cheap bearings you want 606666g timken x 2 if swivel housing has a lot of play

if swivel was loose wheel would be able to move as well, worn wheel brg could cause brake disc to jam on pad in caliper often felt as pumping on brake pedal

if you ever worl on swivel housings never remove bottom pin you never need to bolts will most likely shear

why does it feel like the disco is pulling me across on a right hand bend. it feels like it lurches to the right.
Because the wheel is not tracking correctly due to the (probably) upper swivel bearing failure, allowing the hub to move out of true. Keep us posted and let us know if we guessed the cause of your problem right and how you get on sorting it.

Mine has recently started doing similar and upon inspection I discovered the upper swivel bearing was utterly goosed. As in there are no bearings in the upper race
