not so far from me ,you might be lucky ,normally oil in autos eventually looses redness and goes pale brown ,when desperate for oil change ,piccys can be deceptive but looks blackish ,which is burning clutch packs ,which are similar to motor bike clutch packs , id help you do it if needed, but dont run it into the ground

i think its a case of suck it and see, i once had a rover P6 V8 auto which i fully restored and during the restoration i droped the transmission oil and it was as black as used diesel engine oil i couldn't affored a trans overhaule at the time so just replaced the transmission oil and cleaned out the filter and other than replacing the oil every 12 months i ran the car for 4 years which inc towing a caravan the cornwall 3 times a couple of trips to anglesy and a few trips to north yorkshire with no probs, maybe i was lucky i don't know but i would see how it goes after you have replaced the tranny filter and oil again and see how it goes.

I changed my oil the other week Nick and plan on another change with a new filter soon. Your welcome to come to mine and see how easy it is.

Thanks Brian.
I'm sure the filter is relatively easy to do, but the reassurance of experience is always helpful, especially if you've got to do your's anyway.

What I wouldn't be able to do (well I don't think I would) is replace the clutch packs or worse entire the box as judging by my oil feedback this needs doing :(

So we're going to have your gearbox out this morning are we? I've got Stu's favourite tools out already waiting :D

Nah, worst case is the box dies a horrible death I suppose in which case I have a couple kicking around ;)
