I may have tugged it a fair bit trying to do that sodding rear valve. Will get on it.

It's on a stand on the left rear side, wheel off.

Will just be changing the one air strut that's blown. Cos I'm tight.

Using the iid tool to manually control the aur solenoid, it refuses to fill any of the bags and pressure in the reservoir is at gauge pressure (zilch). By clamping the line from the central valve to the rear solenoid the pressure stared to build and the front would lift. It was s bit of a crap clamp so didnt seal completely but it's showed there is a problem between those 2 points.

Weathers just turned a bit crap so will have to wait.

Sounds like ur having fun, particularly having to put the wheel back on , lowering it to the grounds testijf it then having to jack it back up again

Assume ur disabling the suspension every time ur jacking it back up and in off road height

If u clamped the plastic pipe ur have to replace that later because it weakens the wall in the plastic, easy enough to buy a short length of it, along with buying some caps etc so can isolate parts of the suspension

Yes I have lots of pneumatic pipe kicking about, so I'll just run new lines of needs be. I clamped it right next to the valve so I may just get away with chopping it shorter.
 
Also when I done mine I made up all sorts of gauges etc , blew all the lines out, cleared every bit of white dust out then pressure tested each section, vacuum tested the valve blocks , they all failed so even after replacing O rings still didn’t hold vacuum test , all replaced

Done the same when I was looking for an AC leak , just found it easier that way, but alas mine was in a right mess

The issue doing that is it also really dangerous and can snap height sensors and rip airbags , but don’t wish to come across telling u how to suck eggs

Normally should be changed as a pair but understand , u just want to get it up and running and can do the other side later

But like I said, know ur not daft but wished to at least give u a heads up, that if whilst ur testing it without it being disabled and the ecu does a self level test that disco will be off ur axle stand before u can blink, it will immediately hit extended height

Plus the iid think it’s already at off road height , ur wishbone is down so ecu thinks that wheel is down in a hole

Main reason why I done vacuum test on all the valve blocks and lines so system was disabled and able to put pressure gauges, caps, isolating lever valves , around the system, step by step proved what was leaking and what wasn’t,or could use my compressor and shrieder valves

But don’t think ur system is as bad as mine was , it had been seriously neglected

I'm only powering it up when I'm not underneath it. There's no air in it, so if it did lift suddenly, once started, I can quickly cut it off.

Would be nice if it did lift :p

Lol, I was tearing my hair out so knew i had to start from scratch

Was the same type of thing when I diagnosed boiler , heating systems etc in having that mindset of tracing faults and gone over into the D3 , even worse I enjoy doing fault finding
 
Fault finding is my hell.

I got asked if wanted to head up a commissioning team on a big nuclear project the other week.

No thanks, I'd rather hack off a testicle with a spoon.

Lol, yep, I need certifying because I enjoy the fault finding , nurse :)

I will never forget a 60 x zone underfloor heating system , snow melt on the drive ,solar, swimming pool, ground source heat pump, secondary returns with the bronze pumps for the water pipes , took 4 x months to trace the faults , every time I fixed one another one came up, wasn’t just the wiring but all the manifolds, solenoids , return temperatures through the UFH wasn’t right , slab sensors were incorrect, ch wasn’t reading true, swimming pool would take heat away the list went on , wasn’t allowed to take any of the floor up as it was all Italian marble

Loved it and Was one of the best fault finding jobs I had done , my boss said there’s the job sheet see u whenever
