So what are the actual differences? I thought it was "just" the manifold..... but somebody at the weekend was telling me a huge list of differences, so I wondered if anyone knew the 100% facts on the matter?

It is just the manifold. However if you were fitting a disco tdi into a NA or TD 90/110 thats where the differences come in to play. Air filter housing, rad mounts, hoses, ect all have to be fettled

I did search, found lots of posts that said "I think...." but no definitive answers, which is why I asked.
Maybe I just suck at putting the right words in to get the answer I need.

the defender recieved the disco engine in a slightly detuned version.. (according to wikipedia)
