Unfortunately I'm going to have to part with my truck. Partners shift patterns have changed and childcare costs for the little 'un have gone through the roof. Hence I'm not going to have the cash any more to do the work I have planned on it or run it like it deserves.
Rather it went on to someone from here that will enjoy it like it should be!!!
Disco 2 X reg in dark green, she looks lush!!!
151, 105 miles
MOT until April 2020, mechanic that did it remarked on her good condition - "not bad, probably the best one of those I've seen in a while..."
Winch bumper with halogen spots.
Snorkel
new fan belt, tensioner and idler.
New front axle oil seals.
Diffs all good.
AC works well.
Never been any signs of the dreaded three amigos.
Full service in March, all filters and fluids without a hint of Britpart near it, hardly been run since then due to the aforementioned finances.
Chassis is good, its why I bought her in the first place! Although I bought a set of repair plated for both legs on a deal a few months back for if / when they are needed. I'll chuck these in with the truck.
The clutch will need doing, its fully drivable, but slips a bit if you rev her up, I don't tend to so it hasn't been a problem, but it was on my list of bits to sort. I've got a brand new Valeo clutch and flywheel, just haven't had the finances to get it fitted. Again, I'll chuck this in with the truck.
The body has a couple of cosmetic crispy bits, nothing major, my plan was to Raptor coat her in the summer before I ran out of cash.
Running 4x BFG's on landrover alloys, all in fair condition, tyres all hold air, no worries.
Springs on all four corners, no air suspension and no ACE to worry about!
Engine is lush, no worries there at all.
Never off roaded, I think the most wilderness its seen with me has been a gravel track for a picnic in May.
Its a lovely truck, I'm gutted to have to sell it, I had grand plans to turn her into a nice little green laning machine...
Looking for 1500 with the bits mentioned above thrown in, she is ready to drive away now from Trowbridge in Wiltshire.
I'll post up some pics when I'm back later this eve, for now, its the truck in my profile pic... Sad times...
