Ok going to order tonight, axle clunking about, not even had a chance of a look yet as it's in everyday use, reason being our only other transport D3 is awaiting a front hub/bearing which I am told will be here tonight, super quick, so tomorrow when it's fitted, I have the space to start on d2, so the parts have lasted 17 years, thats good there is not an other 17 years in it, or in me come to that lol, so what's the usual clunking bits to order at a budget price, thanks.

I can recommend these, quality polybushes. The kits got all 5 bushes in. You'll have to clean up your metalwork no doubt before installing them.

If you go the rubber, get oem or genuine, by all accounts the britpart centre unit that's already got bushes pressed in dont last.
But I can definitely recommend the superpro kit, I got it for £170 and lad at local garage charged £30 to press old out and new in.

Edit: make sure you're on completely level ground to reduce risk of body and axle being misaligned

Hi, genuine Land Rover for the centre and you can get febi bushes for the outer two centre ones !
Used the britpart kit and it failed in 100 miles. Installed properly with a press etc

Why can it be so so bad, are they made of chocolate, something else must have been wrong, likely to do, dare I say with the instillation or pressing in of bushes, my standard rubber bushes have lasted 17 years/175,000 miles, ok they are now worse than shot, but still there.
 
Nothing wrong with the installation, have done a few sets for customer with no issues and used a hydraulic press etc ! Thought i’d take the risk with britpart seeing as they get mixed reviews. Wished I hadn’t

Read a few anecdotes about the britpart units, www.discovery2.co.uk says the same. Honestly stick with genuine or quality poly's. It ain't a do or die job though it can wait another month till next payday I'm sure ;):D

If it's floflex polybushes or britpart you'll do the job more than once

QUALITY polybush or genuine is the only way forward with D2 watts linkage.

I left mine knocking for 2 months, no harm done. Careful inspection of the original bolts and other components before refitting showed no signs of untoward wear.
Don't jump the gun and buy cheap twice, do it once and be happy

EDIT I am by no means against britpart, I've got a set of their 'genuine' labelled shocks all round since Oct 16 and got no issues at all amongst other parts I've fitted of theirs. But for the amount of effort involved doing a watts linkage on your drive against the anecdotal (admittedly) evidence of the quality of the watts bushes (and other bushes) from britpart I would heavily advise anyone to use quality, genuine or proven alternatives to them.
Fully aware that britpart are not a manufacturer but a supplier, obvious to me their suppliers can't source decent bushes from what I've read and heard in face to face conversation

Sorry chaps went and ordered them a few days ago, wonder if I can get a refund, never thought anything could be allowed to be sold, that only lasts weeks, christ Chinese are better than that :-(
 
Just don’t open them and send them back, Febi bushes are around £25 on eBay for the outer centre ones (febi 34761 is the part number) and genuine centre one from any supplier that is cheapest !
 
Can’t see any reason why not, there returns policy is quite good. I used them for my genuine centre linkage bearing :)
