2003 Discovery 2 TD5....Hi I have the dreaded inertia switch in the locking ecu has activated causing the hazard warning lights to flash when driving. So far i have to switch off ignition open and close drivers door lock the car with remote key, then unlock and somtimes it clears. Atleast i'm assuming it's the inertia switch/sensor from reading previous threads on here.

But now even that is'nt working and removed fuse from indicators hazards till i can find a solution. Is there anything i can replace like the ecu with the inertia switch?

I have checked under the glove box and all ecu's seem firm you can move them slightly but not loose. Im assuming this is just an age thing or perhaps a little dampness has effected it.

Car has never off roaded and this all began just driving down a smooth road no bumps.

It will stop when i have nanocom evo connected but once thats disconnected it starts again.

Any ideas please as i'm getting a little frustrated with it now:confused: and with this weather i really need to use the Disco.

put a new inertia switch...and untill then unplug the existing one and bridge it's pins...or if this bypass doesnt cure it we'll speak again

I did wonder wether that was it thanks much appreciated replaced fuse hazards flashing after a few seconds dis then connected plug ignition to No2 position and hazards stopped, Gonna source a new switch now.

So which pins if need be do i need to bridge 1 & 3?

first of all connect it back and push down it's rubber head maybe it's just tampered(based on your first post i supposed that you've already done that that's why i said to put a new one).... it's a normally closed switch which must open on shocks you have to close the circuit between pins 1-3

Same issue after replacing the turbo core and using some percussive adjustment to get the exhaust nuts off. Fixed the same way after a quick search. Thanks SF
