Hi all
I am after a rear sunroof that will fully open on my discovery 2 2003 se.
Does anyone know what would be a like for like eg size I don't mind if it's manual I'm just after something same size as current aperture.
Thanks

I am almost nearly totally and utterly sure that the D1 sunroofs fit the d2 as well

D1 and 2 sunroof are the same, although there’s a very slight manufacturer difference in the later model in how the glass seal is retained and the clips that hold the mechanism in place, not that u would noticed the differences unless u had one of each side by side… which I did once with a mates D1 sunroof.

Anyway the front and rear are are identical, and manual or electric is just a matter or removing the existing and then fitting the winder of choice.

There’s few on eBay the last time I looked. 😊

That's very useful to know as the front one on my D2 has gone fubar and I never use the rear one. So hopefully I could just swap them over.
Cheers!

My front sunroof leaks a bit, but only when its raining.... ;)

I have to take out my roofliner at some stage and remove the beduin tent headlining. Are all the seals to make a D2 sunroof still available to make it watertight ? Mine currently has an awful bead of silicon from the last owner around the edge, but not on the glass, so it still opens ok.....

I appears the glass seals are availability still.
For the frame seal use something like Silkaflex or Tiger seal or any equivalent stuff.
So for the glass seal…

Thank you for your helpful and informative reply......;)

It's a while since I've been on but just to let you know I eventually had fitted a bigger sunroof one you can fully open and shoot out of it took the rear aperture to be enlarged for it to fit its manual 2 handle open or close and it locks happy days
