Just changed the rear brake pads on my 99 TD5, things went fine, car still stops, but i was wondering about the wear on the old pads, not only is it different between the two sets, but on the driver's side, different between the pads.....

Passenger side:
Inside = 3mm
Outside = 3mm
Driver side:
Outside = <1mm
Inside = 2mm

Is this just luck of the draw, or should i be looking for something else?

(P.S. Had the car for 5 years, 70,000miles and this is the first set needed).

I replaced my rear pads at 94k miles (first time changed). They had work evenly, however I had noticed some squeaking and stripped/cleaned them as there was some brake binding going on (not releasing properly as they were gunged up). Suggest you also change the brake fluid to be sure?
