Sorry if it's in the wrong section first post. Don't know if the vid will work but basically just bought this 2001 td5 disco and I've replaced the injector loom seals and filter and have no fault codes in at the point where I'll rip the seats out and use it as a green house!!!!!

Oops sorry forgot the main bit it's missing at low revs and hard to start no smoke at all engine is smooth after anout 2500rpm

how much oil did you find in the red connector?
has it been serviced?
Is this a new problem?

Cheers

I bought it like this well tbh I bought it off a mate who said the turbo has gone!
It had desel in the oil and only a tiny bit in the red plug and none at all in the ecu itself I changed the diesel filter to just incase if it was just hard to start I'd understand but the diesel miss is the bit that confuses me it's fine at higher revs

Sounds like the old favourite...injector seals! Easy and cheap to do and certainly cheaper than replacing the turbo.
If its no better after the seals have been done get your injectors tested.
But diesel in the oil is usually seals, or worse case a cracked head, to check for that, remove the cam cover, turn on ignition and using a torch look very closely around the injector pockets, if you see any "flows" it means the heads cracked or a seal has gone, when you remove the injectors check the injector pockets for cracks.
Dont keep driving it! Worse case is it will run away, running on its own oil/diesel.

Well found the cause it's a dodgy ingector tip but apparently there obsolete now ?????[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]

Got one but can't seem to upload it my mate has taken it apart and the little rod that gets pressed into the tip has been rammed down hard and wedged solid so I'll have to order a second hand one and just use the tip

So the injector was not opening? is that what you found?

At least you found a good reason for the problems, nice result if you can find a spare injector.

Cheers

Loads of used injectors on fleabay. Don't bother taking them apart just replace the complete injector.
If you are able to code the replacement injector to the ECU all the better but it will run just fine if you don't.
