There's no connection between the mirrors ecu and either the central locking or the BCU, so no, there's no way to arrange such a function as the Disco 2 is set up.
However there should be no reason why with a bit of clever add-on electronic circuitry one couldn't provide an earth pulse of the correct length to the mirrors ecu when the central locking is operated.

Would the real trick be the length of the pulse? Quite often I end up with the wing mirrors flapping open and shut just using the switch!

Why on earth LR never debounced that switch is beyond me. Neighbours surely wondering by now why I flap the mirrors 3 times every morning

TBH, I don't think it's the switch on the dashboard, it's more likely to be the relays in the Mirrors ECU.

“That’s it... on no... try again.... now.... no, back out again... ffs.... how difficult is this... one more go..... great, now one is out and the other folded.....”. Repeat.....

Having obtained a spare Mirrors ECU and opened it up, I can see that it's quite a complicated circuit for what it does; two different integrated circuits, a handful of "normal" components and a whole load of surface mounted devices. There are also 2 small relays on the circuit board which I would think do the actual switching of the motors in the power fold mirrors.
I have identified the relays and replacements are quite easily available, but considering the printed circuit board and the density of the components on it I would say that replacement of the relays might be beyond the capabilities of anyone without the necessary equipment and experience of printed circuit board repairs.

Apologies for the blurry images, but I hope you get the idea.

The relay is a type JSM1-12v-5. Single pole double throw or change-over.

Easily available for about 2 or 3 quid on the bay:-

A second user Mirrors ECU part no YWC-105260 can be found for between 10 and 20 quid.

It’s no wonder the switching is a bit iffy given that dog’s breakfast of a controller!!

@brian47 Appreciate the pictures though.

Hi guys, interesting post, my mirrors have failed I have tried to find the ECU (apparently situauted in the passenger footwell) but it wasn't there.
I have seen a couple of articles referring to the mirrors using the Ford Mondeo relay if so where is this located?

The folding mirrors ECU is, or should be located up behind the passenger's glovebox. Often referred to as "The passenger's footwell", but you'll probably have to completely remove the glovebox to gain access:-

The connector shown (C0907) is the only connector to the ECU.
