well im confused why it should lock and not unlock on the drivers door is this a simple fix or a replacement lock help appriaciated ,its a pain oh its a td5

Because the locking actuator is function ok but the unlocking actuator isn't, it's a common D2 lock problem so there's a few threads on the subject.
Bottom line is a replacement lock.

I have the same problem with the add problem that the lock barrel wont turn either. Is this a simple problem to fix.

Have you tried searching ?

Yeah but none this specific issue. Can i strip the lock barrel down.

Possibly depending on how its been made but might as well buy a new one
