So yesterday i had a bargain of a deal 5x 16'' black modulars with cooper at3 tyres on with 12 mm tread picked them up for £400 also came with a set of nuts for the wheels which is useful as ive got standard land rover alloys on atm so the nuts are to big.

We haven't but them on yet and scrap men nicked my dads jack so we decided too change spare wheel. But with the modulars go further on the treads the nuts tighten up before it grips the wheel meaning it would rattle about.
So do i need put a spacer on the spare wheel carrier or is the other nuts i can buy.

Or could i just simply cut down the treads to make them smaller so the nuts im using would be suitable.

i will post some pics up tomorrow hopefully :D:D

Spacers on the spare wheel carrier would probably work, as would shortening the studs. However, aren't there already LR nuts for steel wheels available?

Certainly for alloy wheels, I know that the spare wheel carrier requires different (deeper) nuts than the ones used for bolting the wheels to the hubs..because I had to buy some :D

So i finally fitted the four wheels tonight and pleased with results. But i want somthing to cover the hub in the middle of the wheel. Has anyone got any ideas?
