It’s difficult as genuine parts are now obsolescent to obsolete, but door seals are available as a pattern part along the the window glass guides. The material to make your own is sold by the metre from companies such as Frost.

Thanks, yea this is the problem he is having. Maybe just have to try again making his own

Being mine is a Early Discovery mk1 all my window seals are rubber, they are all available but are pattern
Parts so don’t fit as well as the original,
The rear cargo side rubbers don’t fit correctly under the interior trim but they do seal out the rain which is way more important, I also used 3 M window rubber sealant around the edges before putting in the centre rubber expanding
Rubber strip,
The Front window was an absolute bastard to do, took 3 hours with two of us, but what’s important is now the interior is dry, also recommend using silicone grease rubbed into the rubber to stop it drying out and cracking,

It is the rubbers on the external of the doors and between the top of the metal skin and the glass

That would be mxc5903 Rh and mxc5904 waist seal, unfortunately they are no longer available but do very little anyway, any water on the side windows will drop down into the doors and drain away, always check if your door drains are clear,

Thanks, it's clear they do very little but it's the visual condition of them that is the problem on a car thats just Had a fresh coat of paint. They have a metal strip In them that rusts and swells distorting the rubber

Correct, I have the same problem with mine, there is a you tube video of a guy removing the metals strips
And refitted just the rubbers, it finished looking way better than they started,
