Hello I am having an issue with my window motor on my 1999 discovery 1. The issue is that my drivers side window motor isn't working properly. I'm not sure if its stuck or what because when I use the switch to power the window up and down it moves maybe a quarter to half an inch but thats as far as it goes. I had this happen once before after I washed the vehicle at a car wash, but after a few minutes the window went back to working properly. I assumed a bit of water might have caused it to slip and once it dried it would be fine. I'm not exactly sure what the issue is exactly, whether its the window motor going bad or an electical issue that's shorting power to it. I'm willing to get a new window motor for it I just want to make sure that that's what it needs to actually fix the problem. I purchased the vehicle from a private party in August and due to my work I'm rarely home so I haven't really had time to diagnose it on my own. I'm hoping someone here has had a similar issue previously.
