Hi all,

Long story short:
I'm hoping someone can tell me how the transfer box lock out solenoid is supposed to be wired into a loom, a description or a wiring diagram would be greatly appreciated. It's causing me a small amount of grief in my manual 300tdi.

Long story:
I joined this website ages again but have only just bought my first Landrover.
Was a bit of a project when I first bought it, but it's all on the road now and just a few bits and pieces to fix.

My current issue is that the previous owner decided to do his own spyder bypass on the 1998 300tdi, I fixed his dodgy wiring with the proper bypass, but he also did a direct feed to the transfer box lock out solenoid. I know that if I put a wire straight off the battery to his wiring I can use the T-box, but I would like to try wire the solenoid to the original loom but I can't find a wiring diagram for it.
There is also another sensor right next to the solenoid, can anyone tell me what this is and what it does?

Thanks,
Sam

solenoid ensures ty/box cant be put in neutral when ignition is off,so you need an ignition feed to it ,switch operates an audible alarm when box is in neutral

Thanks for that!
Is there anywhere I'd be able the find a wiring diagram or pictures that show what the looms are supposed to look like above the Tbox?

Thanks for the reply's.
I'd previously struggled to install the rave manual, but seem to have it sorted now.

All of the diagrams and info seem, to be for V8 auto, is this because the information is universal and they only mention 300tdi or the manual trans when necessary?
