Hi guys, i've got a disco 300 tdi.
I thought i had a suspected diesel leak, but i think it is actuall an oil leak now, coming from top of the engine underneath the engine cover.
It looks like it may be coming from either one of the pipes at he top back of the engine or those 2 wires on top of the engine.
Any help would be appreciated on what those parts are called or maybe some one will know what it is. Thanks.

Hi Jmaesmartin, i was thinking that myself but only had one fitted about a onth ago. :(
It does seem to be running down side of engine and behind lift pump etc and dripping in various places, that's why i thought it was diesel.
Is there anything else around that area it could be?
Thanks.

It's very easy to get the gasket out of place when refitting the rocker cover, but as James says, clean it all up and take another look. How often do you have to top your coolant up? If it was either the heater run or supply or the temp sensor leaking then I'd expect you'd be topping it up quite often
