Hi Bud prize out the strips in the centre of the rubber with a screw driver, once you have these out
& after removing the wipers & plastic panel ect push the windscreen out starting at the top corner &
work your way along the top then down each side.. If you break it I have a disco breaking for spares ;)

@threaders 1 , your solution to leaking around the windscreen depends on the year of your Disco 1, early versions, that is before the update, had a normal "rubber in flange" type of fitting, later versions, (post update, after 1994, I think), the windscreen is bonded into the frame.
Early versions can be dealt with by using a caulking gun, lifting the contact edges of the rubber on the outsid and pumping sealant into the gap.
If your Disco is post upgrade, the bonded screen will not allow you to remove the rubber trim without destroying it, the rubber is partially held in place by stainless steel clip sections moulded into the rubber. These clips hold around the screen between the glass and body flange.
The proper way to fix a leak is to have the screen removed, if it is the bonded type, but the risk of cracking a good screen makes this a bad choice.
What I've just done on my mates 98 model D1 is remove the headlining carcass complete, then using silicone go around the whole windscreen/body flange gap from the inside, using the garden hose onto the windscreen outside to check for leaks, it worked fine.
Some D1's leak because the screen frame is rusted through and can have big holes rusted through. Silicone is your friend here too.
