Hi, does anyone know were I can buy a heated windscreen for a discovery 1. I have tried Google, it just comes up with d2

My old on did then slowly over time it reduced until it was just an inch in the centre, when the repairers took it out it was delaminated on the top, so the heater wire had got damp in and just stopped working new one fitted last year works a treat

The part no. For the heated screen is
AWR3282
But when you go to different sites some say it's for 1989-99 others say 1995-99
All with the same part no. I take it 95 onwards are bonded.
Has anyone put on in a early 200 tri
Mine is a 1990

I know ins cos did not used to count screen damage as an event, but remember it showing on one of my policies claim histories from years ago

Not for your 1990MY 200 series disco which has a GA VIN, the windscreen is non-bonded, and if fitted a heated one would have been either BTR742 clear or BTR705 green, best of luck in finding one of those, but the early RR had the similar option.

Thanks for that. It will keep me out of trouble for the evening scanning the internet.
They are £260 delivered from craddocks.
If it is just 1 element and the defender is 1 element then I cant see a reason why the wiring kit for the defender wouldn't work.

They are 2 separate circuits with separate relay and fuse so it may be the fuse or relay that has gone.

Well I never knew that, thank you very much, I will look into it.

Beat me to it.
Iirc relays are behind the glovebox, and they or the holders are/were green?

Thanks for that, I now have an idea wear to start looking.

I think screen conectione were under wiper panel each side, so could be as simpel as coroded connector.
As its a 200 pretty sure they had fusible links for various circuits, so it might not have what we would call normal fuses.
