how big a job is it?
Biggest issue for me was getting a standard pump I could trust. I bought a whole disco, which had a full width IC, and had been tuned to 145HP. ( PO had used this to excess, without maintenance, and unsurprisingly, blown the engine !) - and swapped it all over.
Got a load of other bits too, like alloys with new tyres on !, and a load of rusty crud too!!
Done at the same time as a cam belt change, its not a bad job at all - you need to change the injectors too - as the EDC ones run at a higher pressure - you'll also need the pump brackets for the kickdown cable - and these were only available from LR when I did mine - £100 too - the robbing g*ts.
Driven carefully, mine is now very good on fuel, and if the need arises, can surprise folk at traffic lights too
Its over 10K miles ago now, since I did mine, and 2 MOT's, and there have been no problems.
