help!!. just went to do the front passenger electric window up and it went half way up, there was a bang and it stopped and something fell inside the door!. i have taken the door trim off and recovered a crescent shaped piece of metal with teeth along one edge. this is obviously the bit that makes the window go up and down but i don't know what its called. can anyone enlighten me with a part number or something. the window motor still works. i need to get it sorted asap, the window is currently wedged shut using a peice of wood inside the door.

That will be the window regulator u can repair but easier to replace, it's a common problem it's even happend to me
part no. depends on VIN.

that happened to me recently the rtegulator just fell to bits except both my front windows went within a week, just get a couple from your local scrappy and its a fairly simple job to fix mate

theres been a couple in my local scrappy its a sorry sight lol my 54 laguna gets fixed more than my 96 disco!

got myself a new one, £30 from www.island4x4.co.uk pretty good i thought seeing as i've seen some for +£70.

I paid £75.30 back in December 03 to a Land Rover main dealer.
