Hi has any one put a disco 1 dash complete into a classic range . i have a rusty disco but a very good range rover and was wondering if it is worth the effort or just do a firewall swap regards Graeme any help would be much appreciated

Considering they are completely different will make it very difficult...but with ingenuity and care, anything is possible....

And as above, Why?? Am I guessing you prefer the look of the Disco dash?? If so, chop 'em both in and get a later Classic Soft Dash!

i would expect electricery wise its right easy..but making it look good???not so sure..

me i fitting some inteltronix gauges..the 3 3/38 speedo, tacho and 2inch fuel, oil pressure etc into me 71 rrc..going for the white ones..

Disco Dash in a Range Rover Classic... PLEASE !!!

You could have this... A REAL Disco dash

well funny thing is that i have this rrc which is very tidy done only 250 000kms but ten years ago was fitted with 6.5 chev v8 diesel and matching auto . one of my customers back then did it all and i bought the rr cheap . it has only done 23 000kms since everything was recon. but the interior is still 1985 . its being repainted in original colour (white 2 pack ) so then i got a 96 disco with a blown motor and a bit rusty however the interior is near perfect and has being really well looked after so thus the question regards graeme

You would probably need to strip both out, make the brackets in the Disco the same in the RRC then refit and adjust as you go. Would be interesting to see it done

to be honest the 85 rrc dash is fine..if it has teddy bear seats then keep oe.

is the dash the early pod style or the later squared type?(could be either).if early type then LEAVE be!!but maybe modify to fit electronic speedo and tacho, moving temp and fuel to 2 inch dials in dash..vdo speedo and tacho fit in the holes once dials removed and look like LR did it..

rrc dash from later fitted into early rrc dash..DONT WORK.looks pooh



BUT early pod dash modded to take vdo gauges..does work
