i am back again, Hello every one my disco 1 has a problem Loss of revs. while driving around the revs rise and fall. on the rev counter, the revs go up and down while doing so the engine check light comes on and off as the revs rise and fall. any help will be most welcome.

I'm currently having the same problem minus the engine light coming on!
It's normally when cruising around 45-50 mph. Revs will go from around 2000 up to 2500 drop down to 1500 then back up to 2000. It will do this normally around 3 times until I take foot off accelerator of put it down more.

I have a auto Disco 1.

If it's an EDC model then it might be worth checking the Throttle Position Sensor on the pedal. The TPS might just need cleaning with some contact cleaner.

You must have been very wicked in a past life if the Gods think removing and refitting the TPS is a suitable punishment.

Please advise how to replace TPS on the pedal chasis?
