Having just got my truck nice and clean, it's now filthy again up the doors having simply driven down some dirty country roads. Grrr.

I have 265/75/16 Cooper Discoverer STTs, on Boosts, and 30mm spacers (it's an early 110 so needs the spacers to get the alloys on). I don't really want/like mud flaps, but I was wondering if a set of front Dirt D-Fenders might keep it a bit cleaner.

I was also vaguely thinking about the subtle Britpart +30 mm extended arches, but I'm not sure they would help much and I quite like the current look where the edge of the tyres is pretty much bang in line with the arch...it fills them nice and convincingly.

I'd be keen to hear about people's experiences with the D-Fenders...thanks in advance.
 
Front mudflats of the right size to suit your wheels will protect the sides and more importantly the underside/outriggers/chassis from corrosion.
 
Our blue mud ball sits on 235/80/16 spacers in place but not sure what size but am guessing 30mm.
Standard arches and mud flaps.( I assume and often regret assuming things)
If you look at the head on pic you can see the tyres do sort of poke out a little, and a little further than the mud flap.
If you look at the second pic you can see I may as well hang fishnet stockings as mud flaps:eek:

Extended arches may help a bit but if you look close the taper at the bottom of the arch would still let some mud through. Even with wider mud flaps.

I was always under the impression that LR had an “attract mud “ additive in its paint anyway:).
If you take it near mud it’s gonna get muddy:eek: so does it really matter how muddy:rolleyes:

@The Mad Hat Man They are a fantastic idea! I feel an addition to HWMOs todo list coming on, right up there with light bar, winch, expedition kit .................. :D

Chaps, thanks for the replies, but I don't want to be pressure washing all the time and I don't want mudflaps. Of course I love a muddy truck after a good off road sesh...however I want to be able to drive on tarmac without looking like I've been just been greenlaning!

What I'm specifically after is opinions on these items...

With regards to chassis protection, the old girl is as I speak being Dinitrol'd so I'm not going to care about a bit of extra mud under there.

Yes they look lovely:)
Do they work? No idea never seen them before.
But they do seem to cover the gap that I said seemed to be a problem so may help a lot.
Buy some and let us all know how they work :).

Didnt know you could by them I made a couple about a year ago similar in size out of some 5mm rubber and just self tapped into place (fine on an old military).
I was fed up of not being able to see through the window to the mirror.
They work great at stopping mud being sprayed up the door and onto the windows.
 
Just sold a set... worked really well when I ran 265's, and got fed up with crap all over the door handle and lock, not to mention the salt spray on the bottom hinge in winter. Got mine from MUD STUFF.
Got rid of them when I fitted rock sliders, and returned to 235's.
