Sorry to hear about your family member's problem. Hope he/she recovers.
Thank you Stanley, but recovery is now not an option for my wife's sister.

How are your cross channel travel plans? Our neighbours in France tell us that you can only shop until midday, only one can go and you have to print out a form beforehand.

(My apologies to the Thread Police, I'll take my punishment later).

After a lot of thought and debate, much of it on the Coronavirus thread on Anything Goes, we have decided to stay put for the mo and go in june sometime, just about to rebook. Like many we are playing it by ear. If we were to go now there is no box on the "attestation" form that we could truthfully tick for the journey down. and once there, both being in at risk groups we'd have to self-isolate, and we know no one young enough or not ill enough to be able to do shopping for us. Unlike here.
As for the thread police, I dunno how that operates, but as I started the thread I personally do not object in the slightest.
Condoleances if that is the appropriate term for you and you wife re sis in law. My Bro's wife died about a month ago from the big C, no older than me. Terrible thing getting old, and you do not even have to be that old. cousin went at 50 something, one of my best friends at 58 both fit as fleas, until it happened.:(:(:(
