Is there an easy way of freeing off the diff lock linkage ? Mine doesn't want to move when you push the lever to the left. I think its probably seized due to lack of use, but i don't want to be too hamfisted, force it & totally bugger the linkage. Never had anything to do with the diff lock before.
Any info greatfully received

you're right, its siezed, common if it doesnt get used enough, you'll need to take the remote off the top of the gearbox (just the bit with the difflock lever). then free off the sliding part inside the remote, lube it up with plenty of grease and reassemble

Can i get that done from above, or is it a box out job ?? ( hopefully not )

yes you can, take out the center console, then drill out the rivets that hold the big gaiter in place, remove the gaiter and you will see the top of the gearbox

Is it wise to put diff lock on reguarlarly? Im finding it hard to get the time to get offroad in mine at the moment. Shud i just move the lever, amke sure it engages and knock it off again??

Yep, as long as you're stationary at the time. Should be enuff to keep the linkage free.
