p38 is different to defenders disco and previous rrc as diff are handed front and rear ,but both could go in either ,its just when one diff is used to do front and back the front one spends its time except when in reverse driving the back side of the teeth on crown wheel

So if you swapped the crown wheels over they would last twice as long?
 
Ok I just took the diff out and the case was full of rollers and I guess with the play in the flange it's the bearing is it a hard job do I need a puller etc and cost of a decent replacement thanks in advance any advice is welcome
