This morning went out and the bitch wont start
Start at the beginin.
i have a small leak from no4 injector (i was gona fix that this weekend)anyway in the morning somtimes need to cycle the glow plugs/lift pump 2or3times then it starts on the click
But today its drained the battery cranking
There seams to be air in the clear fuel pipe leading to the fip and when i unpluged it from the filter and run the lift pump it dosent spit diesel like i was expecting
Am i testing it wrong or is that the lift pump is fecked?

To test the liftpump you could remove the fuse from slot 12 (i think, look at your chart for which is the one for the pump, marked as a gas machine) and then connect a positive lead to the slot that is not in the other slots orientation. That should make the lift pump going.

Got help from someone on the forum for this, don't remember who it was, make sure you just let the lift pump rest from time to time.

Fusebox under the bonnet

Sounds like intank is failing have you got more that a quater of a tank ?

Ps get some one to turn it over while you check the fuel comming out of fuel line mine only feeds fuel when engine is cranking .

Its about quarter tank why?
I disonected the pipe from the filter and turned ingnition on and nothing are you saying i should have cranked it too?

If the in tank pump is failing, or has failed, then the weight of a decent amount of fuel in the tank can still push it along the line. Yes, try again with the engine cranking.

Just sent my mate to garage with a 5 gallon drum recon that will bring it up to half tank
If the lift pump has gone will easystart get it going?(just to run it up to my mecanic)

initially but unless your getting fuel it will cut out, mine is failing but only if I let it get in the red I can feel it trying to stall sometimes it stutters , I never let it under half a tank now a days untill it totally fails but its been fine ,like it for a year now .

Jumpering the fuse will not help, remove the relay and jump the slot that is in the opposite direction to the others to battery positive. Wammers is your man for this.
You sure the leak off pipes are OK?

Good suggestion but that's not going to stop fuell comming out of the feed pipe .

The injector has a leak
Was gona be replaced today but it wont f-ing start to go get the socket to do it
How much fuel does the lift pump move? Ie will it push air out or is it just to presurise ?
Adding more fuel hasent helped and the batterys flat now and its parked nose in on the drive so cant get jump leads on it
Guess ill just have to wait for the charger to do its thing

Why would that be? A pump with the ignition off is the same as a dead pump, there is no non return valve. The only way air can get in from the tank end is if the lift pipe is cracked.

Becuse if you have a faulty pump especially if the tank it low the fip Uses almost all if its fuel can't suck anymore up thus you get air in the clear feed pipe

I would expect that if its cracked it would cause running problems
Is it worth geting a non return valve fitted?

Gf be sure to loosen nut on fip pump of clear pipe rather than the filter end as the become brittle so does the clear pipe be Carefull .
