Why would the cranking speed change if the glow plug fuse had blown? You would not be getting a glow lamp if that was the case.

Reading this again, it does seem illogical. It seems that my relay wasn't releasing but I can't see why replacing glowplugs and the fuse would have corrected that. No problems since.

I just fitted a new in tank pump and it started up after bleeding the system.
Some of the faults cleared but the intermittent fault is still there and cant be cleared so will have to investigate further.
What is the intermittant fault?
