So I decided to start preparing the chassis for waxoyling and made the mistake of trying to move the diesel return pipe (I think that's what it is!). The pipe broke off at the fuel tank leaving a piece of pipe sticking out. I have tried to remove the broken bit of pipe from the tank but it wont budge. Any ideas what I need to do to get the broken pipe out of the return unit and any ideas where i can get a new bit from!

Thanks

Ah. Just realised that it is the diesel sender unit that I have screwed up! Broken the stub pipe on the sender. So the question is do I have to remove the tank to replace the sender? Thanks in advance for any help

So when /i screw it up perhaps a second cup of tea will be needed! I'lll give it a go tomorrow and let you know. Guess I will have to drain the fuel tank though.

Erm..sorry to ask this, but is your Landy upside down? If so, rectify immediately.

Erm nope, not unless it's blown over in the wind. But as the sender is on the side of the tank and there is 60quids worth of diesel in there I thought it might be over the level of the sender???

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
