Hi.

I wanted to start a thread to share what I've found so far.
I would appreciate it please if maybe some TD4 owners

Thanks! :tea:

7) ITG Pro Filter (panel filter).

Unknown power gains if any.

Other mods I can think may increase power if not on a budget could be:

*Gas flowed exhaust manifold
*Custom intercooler
*De-Cat (like the Rover 75?)....
*Custom exhaust. Maybe at high cost someone can make a one off?
*Ignition leads? (Magnecor only do them for 1.8/2.5). :(
*Silicone hoses? (Can only find these for a Disco TD5 from SAMCO). :(

Yet I can't find anything Freelander Td4/TD4 specific.

Would be great if people could maybe think of BMW 2.0d (M47 engine)/Rover 75 CDT parts that could be used.

Many Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the reply and find on those hoses.

1) Found this decent looking tuning company in thirsk, Yorkshire who do performance exhausts for the XDI and TD4. Also they do custom manifolds and intercoolers. :5bhurray:

2) I'm still wondering if there's a work around for an induction kit on a freebie, so I've been poking around the BMC air filter site and under the usual panel filter availabilty for the TD4 apparently under the heading ''Other products For this model'' there's an induction kit pn: VAS60-80 and pn: VAS70-80

The website says 98 onwards though, so is that the Rover or the BMW engine?!

It's probably not available at all though as the website is kind of vague, probably got more luck finding an ethusiast out there who knows how to adapt a BMW 2.0d or Rover75 CDT version. For cars, BMC do a nice carbon fibre looking one (CDA system), addmitedly not the highest think on a 4x4 owners wish list!!!

I'm quite set on the idea of getting 150bhp on a rolling road, although 170bhp would be the goal, maybe on 19 inch Range Rover Sport wheels.

woaww..thats a great thread you have started td44x4...
i cannot contribute becoz my TD4 is not tuned, but interested

Roverron synergy with egr bypass (about £250 all in) along with Millers powersport 4 diesel additive at double dosage. Would think that some sort of decat & better intercooler, turbo modification might be needed for any more gains but haven't really heard any conclusive results about this. I'm happy with mine as is.
