Power Remap done , witch included DPF/Cat deactivation ,
120 BHP single cam insignia now supost to be around 160 Bhp.
Cheeper than buying a new fillter

There is noticeably alot more power and useing cruise on the moter way more MPG
You can get a remap without cuting the DPF out but the one I helped with was blocking up, We were in a workshop so chopped it

EGR fault now, slipped in a blanking plate which bought up the engine light,
Removed the EGR vavle which was well chocked up . clean it out like new with a new preasure parts wash at work,

The car goes like STINK.



Dose any one know if blanking a ellectric EGR valve before the gass goes in would have broght the engine light on ?
I have blanked vacume EGR valves before with no probs at the out let
 
most egr blanks are no problem and you can remove the valve too, but euro4 cars need egr working so will put engine light on if valve faulty

thats not to say you cant blank good condition valves but some have pressure sensors which again might get upset

trial and error i guess, most egr can be blanked when working properly, some cannot be blanked as a getaround for replacing faulty valves
 
some engine management systems look for a drop in air flow through the AFM when the egr valve is commanded to open, if theres no drop they will flag the egr as faulty.
