You don't need them to go off road, a standard landrover is very capable, and I have driven them for 30 years, mostly on heavy off roading, farm and forestry work.

Service every year, first service when you buy it, then every year thereafter.

And this is an advice forum, you asked for our advice, and we gave it.

Ask NB if your words are understandable in Narfuk ?

You did not know what a service was, has Google helped with the wheels too?
 
I bought them to go off road, I maintain my vehicle's..
Like you said service every year. Who's to say I haven't ordered the bits already?
And as for your input on smaller wheels being a better approach, I'm not sure what that has to do with engine not getting any fuel?

I forgot. Large wheels and lift kits, especially cheap ones, impose non designed loads on the vehicle, which may damage it, especially if it is already poorly maintained.

They also demand extra skills of the driver, so are unsuitable for a novice off roader.

Try getting some driver training, then you will not get stuck, and not do damage to your vehicle, or the ground.
Good that they serviced it, but selling garges are not reknowned for thorough servicing, did they change the brake fluid and PSF?

And if it is BROKE hit it with a BIG HAMMER !:rolleyes:
As I see it you need to grow a set of BALLS or get THICK SKINNED rather sharpish ;););)
Coss your gunna get the sh!t ripped out of you ! If you don't !!
1st thing to do is take the FUEL filter off ! How much fuel is in it ?? It should be FULL !!

Getting back to the problem....

The lift pump on the side of the block only works on a 300 when the cam is in the right place. Turn the crank slowly until you feel resistance to the lever on the side of the lift pump. When you do, crack open the bleed - 10mm bolt on top of the filter and pump until you get diesel coming out thats free (more or less) of bubbles.

Once you've got that far, close the bleed screw. Now you've prtobably got a lot of air in the injection pump. Slacken off by a half turn the union on no 1 injector top and also slacken off the rear fuel return banjo on the back of the injection pump - its the one that has the overspill fuel lines from the injectors running into it. Crank until diesel spurts out of the back of the pump - tighten up DONT overdo it it doesnt need much and then crank until the top injector union spurts fuel and tighten that up.

And then get it serviced. And consider if you really do need huge wheels - I went to Romania and back and through some godawful terrain on nothing more than standard rubber, albeit with an inch lift and box sills to deal with the rocks.

Don't know mate ! don't even know why you have to lift a disco up to go GREEN laneing ! & why you have to fit big F00k of wheels unless your going to do some daft of roading (or is it a Narfuk thing :rolleyes::rolleyes:)
 
They do run between the body and the drivers chassis longeron as I recall, so smashing or breaking one is entirely possible.

That is my memory also. But I have never had much to do with Disco 1s. Or with 300 Tdi. Not that I don't think they are a good engine, just not run across them.
2.5 NA and TD, 200Tdi and Td5 I have met. 300, I have seen very few.

Yes the pipes do run on top of the chassis But they are made of hard plastic so unless he's droped the body on top of the whilst lifting it the should be ok !:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Unless, of course, they have been, err, re-routed at some stage in the vehicles history, which sometimes happens with a 20 year old vehicle.
