hi all.oil level keeps rising,think its diesel.had injector seals done,no change.could it be lift pump? if so is it a costly job? many thanks in advance.

the chances are the seal in the injection pump is causing the problem, if it were injectors the fuel would burn off in the exaust, 1st option would be test the lift pump and take it from there
 
sorry to be the bearer of bad new but your heads more than likely cracked. if its a later euro 3 engine the castings were thinner.
 
hope not.... the coolants nice and clean and there is no smoke at all.this is an 02 td5,is this a euro 3 engine,thanks.

I thought it was the earlier TD5s that had the problems with the heads, and the later ones were improved to try and stop the head from cracking,(although some still do)

That IIRC is correct. Which is one of the reasons I have a later 16p engined 03 D2
 
Hi its worth getting the injector seals changed first as thats the cheapest option, good luck.Was the head on mine.
