Summat like a Freelander FBH? ;)

What are you parking on? Any way of running a 240V extension cable to a small oil heater sitting in the cab?

The ones pulled out of trucks are usually tied to the ecu and do nothing once removed but still sell well to unsuspecting buyers! Have a google, there's a good web page on how to spot them.

what he said, even those that come out of cars are useless without the control gubbins, which are notoriously hard to find, hence why ive given up for now, and whacked a 16A inlet on the back of the fender and stuck a tubular heater in there for now, till I work out what to do.

contemplating a block heater, just need to find out what side the core plug are on the 300tdi, and not got time atm.

Also looking at the ATO-ONE heater, has anyone tried them ?
;)
I`m tempted, very tempted,
but now spoilt for choice with the hot frog ones.

as I/we now have another car, I/we are not so dependant on just the disco now.
in the grand order of things I`m building a big carport for my disco next to my tool sheds, thus having mains power available.
it seems all too easy to just leave it plugged into a ATO-ONE or HOT FROG
and just switch it on/leave it on a timer switch/ when I want to use the disco over the winter months....

afraid the wifes Lexus has spoilt me, as its got heated seats too...

just remembered ( i is old)
back in the mid 90`s I was working nights as usual, and our factory was surrounded by fields/golf course, and it was a harsh winter.
so I ran the 240v mains cable into my car with a caravan blower heater plugged in.
the heater was only rated at 600 watts I think, but was well good enough to catch an hour or twos kip a night in the car, plus keeping the windows free from ice in the mornings :D
